It isn’t all love and laughter,

But it isn’t all war and pain.

Take each day for what it is

Because there will be sun,

but also rain.

Pray not for smooth pathways,

But strength to climb the rocks.

Pray not for open doors,

But keys to fit the locks.

Look for rainbows in the clouds,

And beauty in the rain.
